Standardize Notes at the company level and then assign them to any assembly or package.
Notes can be assigned to Packages and Assemblies via their Notes tab. Assembly Notes can also be assigned to a specific part using the Tag feature in the Assembly Viewer. All of these Notes are available for reporting and filtering using STRATUS.Package.Notes, STRATUS.Assembly.Notes, and STRATUS.Part.Notes. When more than one note has been assigned, the value will be a semi-colon separated list with each note value combined.
To create a Note:
- Click New Note and enter the text as you want it to display.
To add the note to an assembly:
- Click the Notes tab.
- Click New Note.
- Click the the Name field (Empty) and then click the Specify Name drop-down. Your list of company notes will display.
- Select the note and click Save. The note will save along with the user name and date-time stamp. In addition, the Notes tab will display how many Notes are associated with the assembly.

- Click the Notes tab.

Select the note and click either select an existing company-wide Note (Ex. Ship Loose) or enter a new Note (Ex. Buyout).
