With this fix, when the assembly within the same View, it will display almost instantly. If the newly selected assembly uses a different View, then the model will need to be reloaded before the assembly displays. For example:

  1. The SA-0001 Assembly displays in the 3D View.

08/25/23 - Fixed an Issue With Authoring Software is Always Right for Naming and Numbering

Fixed an issue under Admin > Company > Naming and Numbering > Numbering Rules > Authoring Software is Always Right > Part Filter. With this fix, when an Authoring Software is Always Right rule that incorporates a STRATUS.Filter that looks for a specific “Service Type” and parts match the filters, then it will not get an item number. For example:

  1. Create or edit a Filter that filters by ServiceType.

  2. Add a Numbering Rule in the Authoring Software is Always Right section.

  3. Add the Numbering Rule to a Numbering Scheme.

  4. Prior to this fix, parts that should have been filtered out were receiving an item number.

  5. With this fix, parts that should be filtered out are not receiving an item number.

08/25/23 - Fixed an Assemblies Dashboard Issue Where Updating Field A did not Update Field B

Fixed an Assemblies Dashboard issue where updating STRATUS.Field A did not update STRATUS.Field B. For example:

  1. Configure 2 fields with one field referencing another field.

  2. Add these fields to an Report where:

    1. Item Type = Assembly

    2. Assemblies Dashboard = checked

  3. In the Assemblies Viewer, select the report. Enter a value in STRATUS.Field A. It should immediately update STRATUS.Field B.

08/30/23 - Fixed Issue Switching to a Project from an Assembly

Fixed an issue using the Project drop-down to switch to a different Project while in the Assemblies > Viewer. In this case, after the new Project loaded, “All Models” was selected in the Models drop-down. Since STRATUS would not know which model, package, or assembly to selected, this switch often ended up in an error. With this fix, when the user changes to a new Project, instead of selecting All Models, the first model (alphabetic) will be selected and if the model has an assembly, the first assembly (alphabetic) will be selected. If the model does not have an assembly, the Assemblies > Dashboard will display.

09/07/23 - Fixed Assembly Parts Not Displaying in Non-Default View

When a model is be published with multiple views, and one of them is determined by the Autodesk viewer to be the default. The issue that was fixes fixed occurred when an assembly was created in a non-default View, the part would not display in the Assemblies > Viewer. For example:

  1. The default view is Full Model

  2. User A with permission (Ex. Project Admin) to change Views, changed the View (Ex. Top Half) and created an assembly.

  3. User B, opened the assembly and the default View was used instead of the View User A had created the assembly in so the parts were filtered out.

09/21/23 - Updated Top Navigation to Specify the Package

With this update, STRATUS will recognize when users are working with a package and store the last opened or refreshed package as the active package. As a result, when the user clicks a link to an assembly, the active package will carryover and be selected in the Package drop-down. Otherwise, the Package will be set to Unspecified.

For example:

  1. The user is working in this Package and can click any of these assembly links.

10/02/23 - Fixed an Issue where Advanced Estimating Values Did Not Populate a New Package

Under Admin > Company > Package Categories, administrators can configure Advanced Estimating for Office, Purchasing, Shop, Field, and other User Data fields. While a package is being created, these values change dynamically as parts are selected for the package. Added to Admin > Company > Templates, the Omit page if Report(s) are empty option under Page Properties. With this option checked, the page will display if any reports configured on the page include data, if not the page will be omitted and not display.

For example:

  1. Template Setup = CSG _ MEP _ Hanger Fabrication - This template has 2 pages. Each page includes a report and the Omit page if Report(s) are empty option under Page Properties. By default the Omit page if Report(s) are empty option is unchecked.

  2. Unchecked - Omit page if Report(s) are empty - When the Omit page if Report(s) are empty option is unchecked, the STRATUS Sheet will display a page regardless if report data exists.

    1. Page 1 - includes a secondary report for Single Rod hangers which exist in the selected package.

    2. Page 2 - includes a secondary report for Trapeze hangers which do not exist in the selected package. However, since Omit page if Report(s) are empty option is unchecked, the page still displays.

  3. Checked - Omit page if Report(s) are empty - When the Omit page if Report(s) are empty option is checked, the STRATUS Sheet will display a page only if report data if it exists (Ex. Page 1), but not if no data exists (Ex. Page 2).

    1. Page 1 - includes a secondary report for Single Rod hangers which exist in the selected package.

    2. Page 2 - includes a secondary report for Trapeze hangers which do not exist in the selected package. Since Omit page if Report(s) are empty option is checked, this page does not display in the STRATUS Sheet.

  4. If a secondary report is added to Page 2 that includes data from the selected package, then the page will display. So each report placed on page is evaluated to determine if it should be omitted if the report is empty.
