Add Attachments

The workflow to add attachments includes a file name confirmation.One or more files can be attached in many places in Stratus.

  1. To attach one file:

    1. Click the option to Add

    1. Attachments. A find file dialog similar to the following will display.

The new Confirm File Name dialog will display where a user can enter a new file name or click Ok to accept the file nameImage Removed

Click Ok. Once the file is uploaded, the Attachment successfully uploaded message will display and the attachment will display in the list of Attachments.

Repeat step #2. If the same file name is selected, the File Name in use message will display and will include several options:

  1. Cancel - Click Cancel to cancel the attachment process.

  2. Replace - Click Replace to replace the existing attachment with the selected attachment.

  3. Use Attachment - The Use Attachment button suggests a unique file name by adding (1) and incrementing this value as needed.Image Removed

Preview and Download All Attachments Options from Dashboards

To download one or All attachments from all Dashboards (Packages, Assemblies, and Containers).

    2. If the selected file has not been previously uploaded, then it will upload with no additional dialogs.

    3. If the selected file has been previously uploaded, then the Confirm File Names dialog will display.

    4. File Name - Do one of the following:

      1. Replace - Leave the duplicate File Name as is (Ex. Attachment 4) and then click the Replace button. The file will be replaced and use the same name.

      2. New - Enter a new File Name. The file will be uploaded with the new name.

      3. Use - Click the Use button (Ex. Use Attachment 4 (1)) to automatically rename the new file to the name displayed within the button. The file will be uploaded so that both files exist in Stratus.

  1. To attach multiple files:

    1. Click the option to Add Attachments. A find file dialog similar to the following will display.

    2. Select one or more files and then click Open.

    3. If none of the selected files have been previously uploaded, then all files will upload with no additional dialogs. The page will automatically refresh after each upload is complete and ready for display.

    4. If any of the selected files have been previously uploaded, then the Confirm File Names dialog will display.

      1. File Name - Do one of the following:

        2. New - Enter a new File Name. The file will be uploaded with the new name.

        3. Use - Select the Use radio button to automatically rename the new file to be uploaded so that both files exist in Stratus.

    5. If multiple files already exist, a pagination dialog will display (Ex. 1 / 2). Click the arrows to navigate between files.

    6. Click OK when done.

Attachments Table - Preview, Download, Markup

The Attachments tab for Packages and Assemblies includes a versatile table to preview, download, and markup the attachment.

  1. Go to the Attachments tab for Packages or Assemblies.

  2. Each attachment row includes a content rollup labeled Source Type which can be expanded to display any attachments for its sub source types (Ex. Assembly, Part, Tracking update).

  3. Example - Expand Package PDF and the PDF will display and Markup tools are available.

    1. Markup - For PDFs, click the Markup tool to launch the Markup feature.

    2. Download - Click the Download button to download the file.

    3. Delete - Click the Delete button to delete the attachment.

  4. The following file types can be attached:

    1. .pdf, .txt, .csv, .gif, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .xls, .xlsx, .xlsm, .doc, .docx, .maj, .mp4, .rej, .zip, .zpl

  5. Date

  1. -Time - Displays the date-time the file was attached.

  2. Preview (image file types only) - In the drop-down dialog, the following image file image file types will display for Preview:

    1. .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .png

  3. Preview Attachment - Click the Preview Attachment button to display in a separate window the attachment preview for certain file types including:

    1. .pcf, .pdf, .txt, .csv, .zpl, .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .png

    2. Preview is not available for: .xls, .xlsx, .xlsm, .doc, .docx, .maj, .mp4, .rej, .zip

    3. Click the Download button to download the attachment.

  4. Download Attachment

    1. To download a single file attachment, click its corresponding Download Attachment button. The file will download to your default downloads folder. There won’t be any prompt or confirmation. The file name syntax will be the:

      1. Name of the attachment (Ex. REV-FR-0003)

      2. Date downloaded (Ex. 08-28-2023)

      3. Time stamp to make each download unique (Ex. 21-33-40)

      4. File type (Ex. pcf).

  5. Download All - Click the Download All button to download each individual file attachments associated with the selected Package, Assembly, or Container to your default download folder. The name of each file will follow the syntax as if the individual file’s Download Attachment (above) button was clicked.

  6. Download All (ZIP) - To download a single zip file with all of the attachments associated with the selected Package, Assembly, or Container to your default download folder, click the Download All (ZIP) button. The file name syntax will be the:

      1. Package - Name of the first file in the attachment list

      2. Assembly - Name of the first file in the attachment list

      3. Container - Name of the Container

    5. File type (Ex. .zip)
