This page goes over the items in the right sidebar.

Angle: Changes the snap angle when rotating parts & the button below toggles the ability to rotate pipes

Tee/olet: Switches the pull-off priority between olets and tees

 

Free place: Clicking the free place button and then selecting a fitting will allow that fitting to be free placed into the sketch

  • Selecting the circles around the part will allow you to rotate the part snapped the the angle increment

 

Scale: Scales pipe to display them all at the same size or toggle back to a realistic size ratio

 

End prep: This allows users to change the end prep of a pipe based on the connection types selected on the Field Orderz website. Changing the end prep of a pipe will change the connection type of the end of the pipe displaying the change on the BOM and cut list.   1. Select the end prep button

  2. Select a pipe with an open end

  3. Select the new connection type

  4. Click close

  5. If you wish to reset it to its original end prep you can select the end and click reset

 

Ruler: Allows dimensions to be taken between two points.

  1. Open the ruler menu

  2. Select your first point, it can be a fitting or open end of the pipe

  3. Select your first alignment

    1. Center- takes the measurement from the center of the fitting

    2. Pipe face- takes the measurement from the end of the pipe face

    3. Connector face- takes the measurement from the end of the connector connected to the pipe

    4. Opposite connector face-

  4. Select your second point

  5. Select your second alignment

  6. Select the axis you want the measurement to be taken from

  7. Select if you want the measurement locked

    1. Locked- The ruler measurement will drive the pipe lengths

    2. Unlocked- the pipe lengths drive the ruler measurement

  8. Select Confirm

  9. Either adjust the pipe length or the ruler length by selecting them and typing in your new dimension

Elevation: Used to set elevation markers for different pipes

  1. Open ruler menu

  2. Go to the elevation tab

  3. Select 1st horizontal pipe

  4. Set elevation

  5. Select 2nd horizontal pipe

  6. Set elevation

  7. Click done

Note: The first pipe placed will always have a 0' 0” elevation

 

View toggle: Users can toggle the view of the sketch from 3D parts, standard block view, or a mix of both

  1. Full 3D parts

  2. Full 3D fittings, Block accessories

  3. All Block

 

Pop-out BOM Menu:

Menu Flyout: Pressing the arrows will cause the pop-out BOM to appear. Here 4 more buttons are hidden as well as a quick view of the BOM. Some items are editable inside of this menu

  • Size- pipe diameter can sometimes be changed based on the fittings in your sketch

  • Total length- total length can be edited to adjust the length of the pipe

  • Cut Length- Can be adjusted to set a specific cut length

  • Notes- Notes can be attached to fittings that will appear in the BOM

 

Renumber: If the pipe ID numbers get out of order from deleting pipe, then clicking renumber will reset the pipe ID’s

Quantity: This button multiplies the quantity of every item in the BOM

  • Allows for a single package to have multiples of the same item without having multiple different packages

  • QTY update will ONLY appear in exported items and won’t reflect in the sidebar BOM

Abbreviation: Setting the abbreviation will change the prefix for all pipe IDs

  • Can be set to 3 characters maximum

Units: Changes the units displayed from IN, FT, and MM
