Aliases (Admin)
An Alias is the way to identify different property names in different parts that mean the same thing. For example, properties that reference a size might include Diameter, Diameter #1, Branch Diameter #1, Product Size, etc. Once defined, an alias can be used in a filter or report. By defining an alias to combine properties from different parts, you can configure a report without having to worry if you are getting the right value from each part. Note: For reporting, Aliases are only used with parts, not assemblies or packages. To report for assemblies, use a Stratus.Field or Stratus.Item in the report to populate assembly names for assemblies.
