Publish Updates
The following is a list of updates related to the STRATUS Addin for Revit and AutoCAD used for publishing models to STRATUS. This information will help companies determine if they want to update software or wait until the mandatory quarterly update is made available. Customers who encounter a publish issue that has been fixed by an updated version of the software will be required to install the latest software version.
Updated Publish Addin Installer To Not Be Required
Updated the Publish Addin Installer so that it is not required for each release. Rather, a new addin is required to be installed:
When a publish issue is encountered and the issue has already been resolved in an updated installer.
When the quarterly version is released (Ex. 5.2 to 5.3).
When a major version is released (Ex. 5.x to 6.x).
Updated When Company and Project Options Are Enabled in the Publish Dialog
In the Publish dialog, a Company and Project can be selected the first time a model is published. These drop-down options will be disabled after a model has been published for the first time.
Updated Publish to Create BIM360 Folder
If under Admin > Company > Projects, an administrator updates the A360 Folder Path to a path that does not currently exist in BIM360, the publish process has been updated to create the BIM360 folder instead of throwing an error.
Improved the Lightning API Publish and Extract of Insulation Specifications
The Lightning API publish and database extraction process was improved to include Insulation Specifications.
The API returns the Insulation specs in the .json file where Type = 9 (General Insulation).
Improved File Upload Performance for Model Publish
Improved the file upload performance during the model publish process.
Fixed Issue Checking Installer Version
Fixed an issue checking the publish addin version. If the version is too old, a message similar to the following will display. The publish addin in updated once per quarter when all customers who use the publish addin will need to update their installer version.
Fixed a Revit Fabrication Issue Related to Updating Part Tracking Statuses
For Revit Fabrication databases, the tracking status in STRATUS will be the source of truth. Fixed an issue where statuses updated in STRATUS were being overwritten by a status in the Revit Fabrication database.
In STRATUS, a tracking status, that is not included in the Revit Fabrication database, is applied to a part (Ex. Test14).
However, in the Revit Fabrication database, the part status is still Packages. The “Test14” status does not exist.
When the import process runs the “Test14” status is not found in the Revit Fabrication database and the following message will display.
As a result, the “Test14” status was not imported and did not replace the “Packaged” status in the Revit Fabrication database.
Previously, when the model was republished the “Packaged” status in the Revit Fabrication database overwrote the “Test14” status in STRATUS. This change prevents the status is STRATUS to be overwritten by the Revit Fabrication database
Revit 2022 Notification
If you use Revit 2022 you may receive the Revit “Stop running this script?” message during the Import process. Autodesk provides information on how to resolve the issue at: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/bim-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Script-error-when-opening-Manage-Cloud-Models-in-Revit.html
Added to Packages Items a Quantity Column
Added to Packages Items a Quantity Column. The Quantity will change when the Report has Merge Like Values checked or unchecked.
Unchecked - When the selected report does not have Merge Like Values checked, each part in the part report will have quantity = 1.
Checked - When the selected report has Merge Like Values checked, the part quantity will vary.
Added Attachments to the Part QR Code Scanned
After a part QR Code is scanned to a new web page, the part’s Attachments are now included.
Improved Performance of Activity Feed
Improved the performance of the Admin > Company > Activities page.
Improved Fields Expression Readability
Improved the readability of the expressions in the Admin > Company > Fields > Expression column.
Fixed a Numbering Scheme Issue
Fixed an issue under Admin > Company > Naming and Numbering > Numbering Schemes where a new rule being added under Numbering Scheme Numbering Rules was saving to the Numbering Scheme without actually selecting the green check button. The green check button is now the only way to save the new rule.
Fixed an Issue with Report Row Wrapping
Fixed a report row wrapping issue. In the example below, while the Log text could fit in the next row, the QR code will not. With this fix, the row wrap is controlled by the QR Code and the next row will be on page 2/2. Previously, the text and QR Code could display on 2 different pages.
Fixed an Account Profile Issue Updating Icon
Fixed an issue under Account Settings > Profile where the icon could not be updated.
Fixed an Assemblies > Viewer > Parts > Tracking Status Change Issue
Fixed an Assemblies > Viewer > Parts issue where if the Parts report had field checked for Merge Like Items, when the Tracking Status of the parent row was changed the individual part’s tracking statuses were not also changed. Current behavior includes the following:
In cases where there is a parent row and sub-parts:
When the Tracking Status for the parent (Ex. from Issued to Packaged) is changed, the following prompt will display.
Click OK and the Tracking Status of all sub-parts will change.
When a Tracking Status for any sub-part is changed, the parent tracking status will change to Various.
Once all sub-parts of the parent have been changed to the same tracking status, the parent’s tracking status will update.
Fix an Issue Updating Multiple Parts' Editable Properties
Fix an issue updating multiple parts’ editable properties (aka Bulk Editing) in the Properties panel. To edit a property that is common to multiple parts:
In the viewer, open the Properties panel.
Select the part’s in the viewer.
Edit the editable property (Ex. Description).
Fixed an Issue with STRATUS.Report.CurrentDate within a Field Expression
Fixed an issue where the STRATUS.Report.CurrentDate field was within a Field Expression did not generate results.
Fixed a Packages >Tasks Issue
Fixed a Packages > Tasks issue that occurred when Tasks were generated but the report defined in the Task Definition did not display. For example:
Create a report that will display on the Task. The report only includes the Name property.
Add the report to a Task Definition.
When the Task Definition is triggered to generate Tasks on the Packages > Task tab, the report property (Ex. Name) will display.
