Publish Updates
The following is a list of updates related to the STRATUS Addin for Revit and AutoCAD used for publishing models to STRATUS. This information will help companies determine if they want to update software or wait until the mandatory quarterly update is made available. Customers who encounter a publish issue that has been fixed by an updated version of the software will be required to install the latest software version.
Updated Local Collaboration File Publish Dialog
Updated the Publish dialog when a Local Collaboration File model is published to no longer append the user’s email to local workshared file. As a result, the Model Conflict prompt (screenshot below) where the user is asked to select either “I Moved It” or “Cancel” will no longer display and the file will be treated as the central model.
Fixed an Issue where Copied Fab Parts were not included in the MAJ file
Fixed an issue where copied Fab Parts were not included in the generated MAJ file.
Updated (Major) Packages > Properties > Planning
Significant changes were made to the Packages > Properties > Planning section. Below are the highlights and links to the Knowledge Base articles that cover these changes in detail.
Knowledge Base Articles
Highlights
Under Packages > Properties, the Planning section has been updated and an Actual section added.
Planning
Edit Values - A significant change was made to simplify the editing of values in the Planning section. With this change, edits to Start Date, End Date, or Duration of one phase (Ex. Purchasing) will not impact other phases (Ex. Shop). Previously, when a Start Date or Lead Day was changed for a specific phase (Office, Purchasing, Shop, or Field) the Start Date or Lead Day for other phases was automatically changed.
Duration - The label Lead Days has been changed to Duration.
Actual
Actual - Added a read-only Actual section that displays the actual Start Date and End Date based on the date that the package's tracking status changed. For this feature to work correctly, the Administrator must configure a tracking status Phase as 0% (Start Date) and 100% (End Date). See the Tracking Status (Admin) article for more information. Actual Duration is the calculated difference between the Actual Start Date and End Date.
Schedule - As Actual Dates are injected, the Packages > Schedule displays the actual Start / End Date with an extra line under the planned values.
Updates to STRATUS Workstation
A new STRATUS Workstation installer is needed to benefit from the changes below.
Updated Cut Lists Management
Updated Cut Lists management to help detect which parts have been cut. For any part that has been cut using STRATUS Workstation, the part’s property STRATUS.Part.IsCut = 1.
Fixed Issue STRATUS Workstation Stops Responding
Fixed an issue where STRATUS Workstation stopped responding due to message dialogs being hidden. Dialogs will now display in front of other windows.
Updated STRATUS Sheet Length Field Wrap
Updated the STRATUS Sheet to retain the entire length value on one row rather than forcing it to wrap to another line.
Updated Part QR Code Scanned with Add Assembly on Scan Checkbox
The Part QR Code Scanned page is reached either by scanning a part’s QR Code or by copying the part’s QR Code and pasting it into a web browser address. The Part QR Code Scanned page has been updated with the Add Assembly on Scan checkbox option. By checking this checkbox, when the part is contained in an assembly, any changes made in Tracking will be applied to all parts in the assembly. For example:
The Add Assembly on Scan checkbox is checked.
Under Tracking, change the Status (Ex. Issued) and click Apply.
The change will be applied to all parts in the Assemblies > Viewer.
Updated Custom Properties Display
Updated how Custom Properties display by placing them in a collapsable section.
In the Packages > Dashboard > New Package dialog, click the Custom Properties expander to display custom properties.
Similarly, on the Packages > Properties tab, click the Custom Properties expander to display custom properties.
Updated Cut List Messaging
Under Packages > Package > Cut Lists, the Generate Cut Lists button will provide different prompts depending on what has happened to the cut list and the tracking status of parts. In summary, parts that are not in a status that has the Can Cut List setting enabled in the Company>Admin will not make their way into Cut Lists. In addition to this, Complete, In Progress, and Ready items in the cut list will not be overwritten and will persist in the Cut List table now. When clicking Generate Cut Lists, list rows will not be regenerating for parts already In Progress or Ready. It will overwrite New rows and generate new line items for Completed rows, as long as those parts are in a tracking status that allows cutting.
When a cut list has never been generated for a package, the Cut Lists tab will display the message “There are no cut lists for this package.“
To generate a cut list, click the Generate Cut Lists button. Before the cut list displays STRATUS makes several checks.
Check 1 - The cut list is checked to determine if all parts in the package are in a “Can Cut List” tracking status.
Yes - If all parts are in a “Can Cut List” tracking status, go to Check 2.
No - If not, a dialog similar to the following will display indicating how many parts are not in a “Can Cut List” tracking status.
Cancel - Click Cancel to stop the process and change the tracking status of parts that are not in a “Can Cut List” tracking status.
Generate - Click Generate to continue with Check 2.
Check 2 - The cut list is checked to determine if any of the parts have already been cut.
There are several ways to determine if a part has been cut:The cut part’s tracking status is updated to Cut. In the STRATUS Workstation, the Apply Tracking Status on Done can automatically apply a tracking status. If this tracking status is Cut, then the part will be considered cut. Note: Be sure to verify that your Apply Tracking Status on Done tracking status is Cut and does not have the Can Cut List checkbox checked.
If any part is not in a Can Cut List tracking status, it will be considered cut.
If STRATUS.Part.CutDT property is populated, the part will be considered cut.
If STRATUS.Part.IsCut property is 1, the part will be considered cut.
If the Tracking comment for a part includes the word cut, the part will be considered cut.
Did STRATUS detect that a part has already been cut?No - If no parts have been cut, the cut list will be generated.
Yes - If a part has already been cut, a message similar to the following will display.
Cancel - Click Cancel to cancel the process of generating the cut list.
Include cut item - Click the Include cut items button to include parts that have already been cut. This is used to recut parts.
Exclude - Click the Exclude cut items button to exclude parts that have already been cut.
The cut lists will display.
If a cutlist has been sent to a station and there have not been any changes, a new cut list will not be regenerated.
Existing Cut List - If a cut list has already been generated and the Generate Cut Lists button is clicked, the following prompt will display. In addition, Check 1 and Check 2 and their related prompts (see above) will display.
Cancel - Click Cancel to not replace the cut lists.
Yes - Click Yes to delete all “New“ status data in the table and regenerate the cult list.
Improved Performance of Filters > Company
Significantly improved the performance of Filters > Company by caching the filters on the server. Caching is initiated by the first user who opens the Filters > Company dialog. As a result, the first user to open Filters > Company in a model will notice the time it takes to calculate all the filters. Subsequently, users who open Filters > Company for the model will notice that the filters display within seconds. The Filters > Company cache will be purged and recalculated each time any of the following occurs, and, as a result, the first user to load the viewer webpage and open Filters > Company will wait for the recalculation to repopulate the cache.
Filters > Company will purge and recalculate after any of the following events:
When a Company Filter is edited under Admin > Company > Filters where Model Viewer is checked.
When an Alias, Field, or Grouping that is directly referenced by a company filter is modified.
The Refresh link is clicked at the bottom of the Filters > Company dialog.
Afte a model has been published.
Added Container to Tracking Comment
When a container tracking status is modified, the source container name (Ex. Truck) will be included in the tracking log entry comment.
Fixed a Package Creation Issue
Fixed an issue creating a new package from the Models > Viewer where the new package Tracking Status was not set to the first “Can Package” tracking status under Admin > Company > Tracking Statuses.
Fixed an Issue Retaining Show Selection
Fixed an issue on the Admin > Company > User page and the Admin > Project > Team page where after the Show selection was made it would reset to 10.
Fixed a Report Assembly Filter Issue
Fixed a Report issue where an Assembly Filter configured to use a STRATUS.* property was not displaying the report in the Assemblies > Viewer when a new assembly was created. In the example below:
The Assembly Filter was assigned to the report where Assembly Viewer was checked.
In the Assembly Viewer the correct report and applicable parts displayed.
Fixed Auto Assemblies Issue
Fixed an issue where under in the Models or Packages Viewer, when using the Actions > Assemblies > Auto Assemblies option, each time a part was clicked the page would reload.
Fixed Packages > Items Issues
Fixed a Packages > Items Issue with Editable Fields
Fixed a Packages > Items issue where editable fields were not editable. In addition, fixed an issue where data between the Parts data table in the Assemblies section and the Parts data table were not showing the same information for each part for comments.
Fixed a Report Display Issue
Fixed a Packages > Items issue when switching between Packages on the Packages in the Packages drop-down, the Assembly Report drop-down would switch to a different report.
Fixed an Issue Creating a Report when Package has No Parts
Fixed an issue under Packages > Attachments where generating a report from a package that did not include any parts locked up the create report feature.
Fixed Spool Checker Issues
Fixed Issue Adding “Adj. L” tag to Parts
Fixed a Spool Checker issue where the “Adj. L” tag was not applied to parts until after the page was refreshed. With this fix, when Dimension is enabled and a part length is changed in Spool Checker, the part in the 3D viewer will auto-populate the “Adj. L” tag when the part is modified. In addition, the length of any other part that is connected to the part and is not locked will also be updated. Additionally, if the dimension is reset, the “Adj. L” tag will be automatically removed without a page refresh.
Once a part’s dimension has been modified, it’s dimension is locked and cannot be edited until the part dimension is reset by clicking the Reset Length button.
Fixed Issue Moving “Adj. L” Tag
Fixed a Spool Checker issue where the “Adj. L” tag could not be moved after it was placed by a Spool Checker tool length change.
Fixed a Containers Report Issue
Fixed a Containers Report issue where an extra subtotal row was included.
Fixed Issue Switching Between Packages
Fixed an issue where after opening packages A, B, and C, selecting A, then selecting a different tab within package A (Ex. From Viewer to Items), instead of displaying the Items tab for package A, it displayed the Items tab for package C.
