Publish Updates

The following is a list of updates related to the STRATUS Addin for Revit and AutoCAD used for publishing models to STRATUS. This information will help companies determine if they want to update software or wait until the mandatory quarterly update is made available. Customers who encounter a publish issue that has been fixed by an updated version of the software will be required to install the latest software version.

Fixed Issue with Blank Description in the Fabrication Database

Fixed an issue where a blank description in the Fabrication Database for a custom data field caused a publish error. With this fix, when custom data that has a blank description exists in the Fabrication Database, a warning message will display in the publish dialog (Ex. Custom data ids which have no names: [#]. To correct these, ensure that each custom data field exists in the fabrication database.) will display in the publish pop-up dialog.

Added CAD Sheet Markups

Added Line Thickness and Opacity slider options and added the arrow to the Callout tool.

To use Line Thickness:

  1. Click the Line Style tool:

  2. The Line Thickness slider will display. Click along the horizontal axis or slide the bar to the percent thickness (Ex. 60%).

  3. Add a Markup (Ex. Arrow, Cloud, Shape, not Text) and the thickness will display.

To use the Opacity tool:

  1. Click the Fill Style tool:

  2. The Opacity slider will display. Click along the horizontal axis or slide the bar to set the value between 0 and 1.(Ex. .38).

  3. Add a Markup (Ex. Arrow, Cloud, Shape, not Text) and the thickness will display.

To add a Callout with Arrow:

  1. Select the Callout tool.

  2. Within the CAD Sheet canvas, click and drag the tool to place the arrow. Let go of the mouse and the Callout Text box will display.

  3. The Callout Text box and the Arrow are 2 different objects. Therefore, they cannot be moved together but can be moved separately.

Added Notifications

  1. Under Profile icon > Account Settings > Notifications, users can decide if they want to receive an email notification for certain events.

  2. When an event occurs and company users have checked the Subscribe to Email? checkbox, an email similar to the following will be sent to all subscribed users in the BCC so that only one email is sent to multiple users for each notification to cut down on email volume sent using SocketLabs server.

Added Queries

Added the following queries under Admin > Company > Queries:

  • Divisions

  • Stations

  • Tools

  • Project Role Allowed Features

  • Reports Available to Project Roles

Added Dimensioning Click Detection

Added a 3-option Click Detection slider to help with selecting snap points. The purpose of the Click Detection settings is to provide different mouse movement allowances (mouse down, mouse up, pan, zoom, and simultaneous mouse movement) when selecting snap points which can differ depending on the mouse settings and how the user clicks mouse buttons. During dimensioning, as the user hovers over a snap point, when a user clicks the mouse down button, Click Detection will consider both the elapsed time after the mouse down action and the movement of the mouse in terms of the pixel radius away from where mouse down was clicked. The table below displays the 3-option settings. Option 1 provides the least allowance while Option 3 provides triple the allowance.
