Shift (Admin)
Stratus Shift is a labor-tracking solution designed to give fabrication shops real-time insights into their workforce productivity. By seamlessly integrating with Stratus work packages, Stratus Shift enables shop workers to log time against their assigned tasks, empowering businesses to better correlate labor costs with estimated material and fabrication data.

Stratus Academy Course Video
To take the course, login to Stratus Academy and locate the course ADM-530: Shift.
Prerequisites
Company Role
Configure the Company Roles (Admin) by checking the Shift checkbox for specific Company Roles. By default, it is checked for the Administrator role.
Project Role
Configure the Project Roles (Admin) by checking the Shift checkbox for specific Project Roles. By default, it is checked for the Project Admin role.
Users
To display Workers in the Shift app, the Shift user’s Division must correspond to one of the selected Divisions. See the Users (Admin) article for more information.
Divisions
For a package to be visible in Shift:
All packages must be assigned to a Division. These packages will not display in Shift.
The Division needs to be checked under Admin > Company > Shift > Filtering Options > Select Division Options (below).
The Division must be checked on the Shift page in the Package Filters section.
Station
Verify that users are logged into a Station. See the Station (Admin) article for information.

Filtering Options
Shift workers can only be assigned to Stratus Packages that meet the selected Filtering Options below. The list of company Divisions, Tracking Statuses, and Package Categories displays.
Divisions

In this example:
These Divisions are checked.
As a result, in Shift, only those Divisions are available as options.
Tracking Statuses

In this example:
These Tracking Statuses are checked.
As a result, in Shift, only those Tracking Statuses are available as options.
Package Categories

Session Log
The Session Log records raw data about Workers, Checked In and Checked Out times, the worker’s Station and other metadata.
Session Log Example
A day in the life of a Worker:
Checked In for 7 hours
Checked Out for 1 hour
Time Tracking for 7 hours on 1 Package
Results: 3 Session Logs
Session Log 1: Check In
Session Log 2: Start (time tracking) to Pause (time tracking)
Session Log 3: Resume (time tracking) to Stop (time tracking)

Big Data SQL Table
The TimeSessions table has been added to the Big Data SQL and includes the following report fields:

Use the CSV or Excel export button to export the raw data. Note: This data will not include fields like PackageId, UserId, or StationId.
Stratus - Open API
The following are new calls to support Time Sessions.
The timesession call also provides information not provided in a CSV/Excel export like PackageId, UserId, StationsId, etc..
Optional Features
Shift Types
A Shift Type provides a way to collect an additional point of time tracking metadata.
Enable Shift Types under Settings. The Shift Types tab will display under Shift.
Click the New Type button.
Name - Enter a Name (e.g., Day shift, Overtime, Regular time task).
Code - Optionally enter a code that can be referenced as an additional point of metadata.
Click Save.
Once saved, when a worker checks in they will be required to Select Shift Type.
Once selected, the Shift Type will display for the worker in the State column.
This Shift Type will also display in the Session Log as an additional point of metadata.
Task Definitions
Shift Tasks brings the ability to apply Task Definitions to packages that contain related part, assembly, and package tasks.
Enable Task Definitions under Settings.
Configure one or more Task Definitions. See the Task Definitions (Admin) article for more information.
Task Definition Note: A Task Definition used for Shift:
Does not need its Enabled checkbox checked.
Does need the its Assigned To set to Package.
Configure one or more Stations. See the Station (Admin) article for more information.
Station Note: A Station used for Shift:
Must have Task Definitions assigned.
Must have the Assigned to this Device checked for the computer and the user must be Signed In to the Station.
Select Task - Once configured when a worker is assigned to a package, an additional dialog will display prompting to Select Task.
Once selected, the task will display for the worker in the Tasks column.
This task will also display in the Session Log.
Shift Time Entry Form
The Shift Time Entry Form feature provides an option to enter a worker’s time (e.g., worker forgets to use the Start / Stop buttons) and an option to edit a worker’s session log entry.
To enter a worker's time:
Enable Shift Time Entry Form under Settings.
Click the Add button to
The Time Entry dialog will display.
Worker Name - Select the worker.
Package Name - Select the package.
Start Date/Time - Select the date/time.
Stop Date/Time - Select the Stop date/time.
Duration - The Duration automatically calculates and is not editable.
Shift Type - If enabled, the Shift Type option list will display.
When done, click Submit. The worker’s time will be entered into the Session Log.
To edit a worker’s time:
Go to the Session Log.
Locate the record to be edited.
Click the Edit button under Actions. The Time Entry edit dialog will display.
Tracking Status Stop Sessions
Shift Tracking Status Stop Sessions automatically ends time tracking when a package's status changes to one that isn't configured for Shift tracking.
Enable Tracking Status Stop Sessions under Settings.
The Shift Admin has configured to only display packages whose Tracking Status is checked.
When the State of a package or a worker’s work on a package is In Progress, but within Stratus the package’s Tracking Status changes to one that isn’t checked:
The package will be removed from Shift.
Time tracking will be stopped.
The worker will be unassigned from the package.
Note: When Tracking Status Stop Sessions is not Enabled, once the package’s Tracking Status changes to one that isn’t checked:
The package will continue to display in Shift
The time tracking will continue to be accumulated.
The worker will continue to be assigned to the package.
QR Check-in/out Only
The Shift QR Check-in/out Only requires workers to scan their worker badge QR Code to Check In and Check Out.
Enable QR Check-in/out Only under Settings.
Once enabled, the QR scan required message will display and all workers will be required to scan their worker badge QR Code to Check In and Check Out.
