The Package's Tracking tab is one place to change the tracking status of a package. Your company administrator can turn on/off options for each tracking status.

Tracking Tab

  1. When a new package is created, it is assigned with the first Tracking Status in your company's list under Admin > Company > Tracking Statuses whose Can Package checkbox is checked.

  2. Once a package is opened and the Tracking tab clicked, the tracking status log for the package will display.

    1. CSV | Excel - The exported Tracking table fields include the following:

    2. User - The name of the user who applied the tracking status change.

    3. Date-Time - The Date-Time the tracking status change was applied.

    4. Status - The tracking

Status applied to the package
    1. Status and tracking Status color applied when the tracking Status was updated.

    2. Comment -

A comment can include:
  1. A comment that is entered into the Comment field of the Tracking section before the Apply button is clicked.
  2. When the package is added to a container, the container name displays in brackets (Ex. [Truck B]).
  • Division - If a Division is selected in the Tracking section before the Apply button is clicked, the Division will display in the data table.
  • Hours - If hours are entered in the Tracking section before the Apply button is clicked, the hours will display in the data table.
  • Attachments - Displays a link to any package attachments
      1. Comments are added in a variety of ways:

          2. Package added to Container

            1. Comment = Stratus Added to [Container Name] 

          3. Package removed from Container

            1. Comment = Stratus Removed from [Container Name] 

          4. Tracking Status comment made to an Assembly contained within the Package

            1. Comment = Stratus Automated Event 

          5. Downgrade a Part Tracking Status on a Package which forces the whole Package to downgrade

            1. Comment = Stratus Automated Event

          6. Updates during the import/publish process for packages/assemblies/parts

            1. Comment = Stratus Automated Event

          7. Adding an assembly to a package

            1. Comment = Stratus Automated Event

          8. Downgrade an Assembly Tracking Status belonging to a Package

            1. Automated Event - Part Tracking Status Update [Tracking Status Name].

        2. Manually by User

          1. In the Comments column under Packages > Viewer > Tracking table.

          2. In the comment field of an API POST.

          3. In the Comment textbox on any Package > Viewer page. Click the Apply button to make the change.Image Added

      2. Division - The Division selected an applied by the user.

      3. Hours - The Hours entered an applied by the user.

      4. Attachments - Users can attach a file to the assembly. See the File Attachment Workflow article for more information.

      5. Remove Selected Item - Deletes the associated tracking row.

    1. To change the tracking status, a user can either:

      1. Click the Next Tracking Status button and then click Apply.

        1. When Same Part in Multiple Packages Note:  When packages have different package categories but include the same parts, the status changes will affect both packages. For example:

          1. Packages Name Multi 1 and Multi 2 have same parts. One Package has the Default category and the other Fabrication Production.

          2. Click on Package Number 123-2022-0084, click Tracking and then change the Status to Spooled.Image Added

          3. On the Packages > Dashboard, both Packages are now updated to the same Spooled Status.Image Added

      1. Click the Status selector drop-down, select a status, and then click Apply.

    1. Deleting tracking entries from the log for a package or assembly requires the button to be clicked by either the user who originally created the tracking entry or a project admin.
