A Station can be associated with a person or a tool in your shop (pipe cutting station, a weld station, a plasma table, final assembly, or shipping). Stations are used in the Task Workflow and in the Send Cut List to Station workflow. For example, for a Task Workflow, the "Clean and Sort" station might be a mechanical piping processor and should only be able to do clean and sort tasks. This station should not be able to do a cutting task. Similarly, you don’t want a "Cutting" station to have a task to clean and sort.
Time Saving Note: The STRATUS Customer Success Team has configured and can transfer to your company database Filters, Reports, Task Definitions, Task Workflows, Task Categories, Cost Categories, Cost Types, Tracking Statuses and other Admin configurations. See the STRATUS 07/18/2019 Implementation Webinar - GTP Pre-configured Spool Templates, Reports, and Filters to watch an introduction video, or, contact the STRATUS Service Desk for more information. Configure
- Configure a Station under Admin > Company > Stations.
- Image - When a station is "Assigned to this device" (see below), the station image, if added, will display at the top of the page next to the user's badge. Otherwise, the default image will display. Hover over the image to display the station name.
- Upload - Browse to upload the image file from your computer. The image will be used instead of the default image if it is uploaded.
- Name (Required) - The name of the Station. Tip: Use a standardized naming convention that uses a prefix so that the Stations sort in a logical way. Station names are selected on the Package's Cut Lists tab and the Package's Point Lists tab.
- Description (Required) - The description can be the same or similar to the Name and is only visible on the Stations page.
- Taks Definitions - At each Station, (Ex. Weld Booth Station) a sequence of tasks happen. These are Task Definitions and are configured on the Task Definitions page. Often times, when working on an assembly, station's tasks interact. A Task Definition can be applied to a Part, Assembly, or both. The Task Definitions selected for a Station are the process tasks required for each station when a Task Workflow is applied. See the Task Definitions article for more information.
- Select tasks the station will perform for a Task Workflow.
- Click the Add a Task Definition button
to select a Task Defintion.
- Click the Save button
to Save selections.
- Click the Remove this Task Definition button
to delete the Task Definition from the Station.
- Click the Cancel button
to cancel any new selections.
- Select tasks the station will perform for a Task Workflow.
- Processor (Required) - Select the Processor associated with the Station.
- Tool - Select the Tool.
- Managed Materials - After the Station is configured, a Managed Material can be added. A Managed Material is used when a cut list is generated. In this case, the Station will automatically be selected based on the Material and Trade Size. See the Materials (Admin) article for more information. The material selected after using the Edit Material button will display.
- Edit Materials - Click the Edit Materials button and select the material.

Facility Model - The Facility Model feature is not fully functional. In the future, a model will be uploaded and the station will be placed and labeled within the model. - Assign to this device
- When checked, a cookie will be placed on the device (computer, ipad, tablet) you (the Admin) are currently on which will enable the device to receive tasks for the station. The device image will display next to the STRATUS badge when the computer (device) is assigned to the station. One advantage to assigning a device to a station is that multiple individuals can use a station but do not need a personal login to view and edit tasks.

Examples
Station As Part of the Task Workflow
* See the Task Workflow Examples article for more information on how to configure a Station to be used with a Task Workflow.
Station As Part of the Cut List Workflow
To automatically assign a cut list to a station based on material:
- Define a material under Admin > Company > Materials. If the same material (Ex. Carbon Steel -IPS) will be sent to 2 different stations depending on the trade size, define the material twice and then set a trade size range for each. Be sure the material name is a valid material name. See the Materials (Admin) article for more information.
- Define a station under Admin > Company > Stations. If the material will be sent to different stations depending on the trade size, define each station. Once the station is defined, click the Edit Materials button to select the material that is sent to the station.
- To generate the cut list, click the Cut Lists tab on an open package and then click the Generate Cut Lists button. If the package had materials and trade sizes defined above, the Station would be correctly selected.
