Admin

The Admin tab in STRATUS rolls out into the Company and Project settings associated with your account.

Company Admin settings are those which affect all projects and includes user settings as well as all things tracking, reporting, filtering and much more. These are handled through detailed and data driven configurations from within the Company Admin.

The Project Admin settings are those which are applied on a project-by-project basis and includes project level team member roles mapping, BIM Area imports and creation as well as deliverable definitions.

Below is a node graph that shows the dependencies that exist across our Company and Project Admins settings. This will need to be an ever-evolving document but I hope that it sheds some light on when and where settings are required, optional, or necessary to get another portion of the settings configured. You will notice that by the nature of our site, the center of mass, if we can call it that, tends to gravitate towards the filters. They are really the heart and soul of STRATUS and think that is plain to see in the graph below. You can read this graph by following the dependency arrows through the document until there are no more "required" nodes feeding into another.

For example:

If I wanted to set up Task Workflows, I would need to configure the following.

  • Required

    • Filters

    • Cost Categories

    • Cost Types

    • Task Categories

    • Task Definitions

  • Optional

    • Package Categories

    • Tracking Statuses (Though this one might as well be required)

    • Processors

    • Stations

    • Tools

    • Materials

Now, this is about the worst-case scenario. It just goes to show that STRATUS is like an onion, it has layers, and you don't get to the middle without peeling off the outside first.
