An Alias is the way to identify different property names in different parts that mean the same thing. For example, properties that might reference a size might include Diameter, Diameter #1, Branch Diameter #1, Product Size, etc. Once defined, an alias can be used in a filter or report. By defining an alias to combine properties from different parts, you can configure a report without having to worry if you are getting the right value from each part. Time Saving Note: The STRATUS Customer Success Team has configured and can transfer to your company database Filters, Reports, Task Definitions, Task Workflows, Task Categories, Cost Categories, Cost Types, Tracking Statuses, and other Admin configurations. Contact the STRATUS Service Desk for more informationFor reporting, Aliases are only used with parts, not assemblies or packages. To report for assemblies, use a Stratus.Field or Stratus.Item in the report to populate assembly names for assemblies.
