Groupings of part properties can be used by Filters for the model viewer and by reports for generating sub-sections. A Grouping can be configured on any part property including STRATUS Fields and Aliases.

Configure

Example of how groupings can be used:

To create a Grouping:

  1. Under Admin > Company > Groupings, click the New Grouping button.

    1. Name – Grouping name. This will display on the Filters page.
    2. Property Names – A comma-separated list of property names.
      1. It is recommended that you copy/paste property names into this list. Entered Property Names are not validated.

      For example
      1. Part Property Example - Material, Size
      2. Part Property Example - Service Type, Size
      3. Alias Example - STRATUS.Alias.Diameter
      4. Filter Example - STRATUS.Field.Pipe Length
  2. Click Save.

To configure the Filter that will use the Grouping:

  1. Under Admin > Company > Filters, either create a new filter or select the Grouping for an existing filter and Save.

  2. Expand the Filter and add a Rule where the Property is Material and Rule is Exists.

To use the Grouping Filter:

  1. Under the Models > Viewer > Filters > Company, select the filter category and then the filter name. The model is filtered by the grouping. Grouping items will use the display format set for the Part Template under Admin > Company > Part Templates > Part selected > Property > Display Format.
