Conduit Cleanup
The Conduit Run Cleanup command performs data synchronization across all parts of a conduit run and is found in the GTP WireWorks ribbon panel on the Add-Ins tab inside Revit. The command will process conduit runs for the entire project or the elements in view. Based on the settings defined in the shared setup, parameter values are copied across all parts within a conduit run so they match. Couplings are recognized as any connected part family including 'Coupling' in its name. Parameter values will be synchronized across conduit runs connected by couplings.
- When modifying parameter values via the conduit run schedule, values will be applied to all components of the run.
- When modifying parameter values via the properties window, if the parameter is included in the conduit run cleanup list, the new parameter value will be applied to all parts in the conduit run.
If enabled in shared settings, the Workset may also be applied uniformly to each part in the conduit run.
This command may be run automatically by selecting the automatic checkbox option in the local settings. In automatic mode, document modifications are monitored, and conduits are updated automatically to propagate changes throughout the modified runs.
Conduit with Fittings vs. Conduit without Fittings
It is worth mentioning that Revit has two types of conduit:
- Conduit with Fittings
- Conduit without Fittings
Revit does not generate a conduit run for 'Conduit with Fittings'. This means the Conduit Run Schedule will only work for 'Conduit without Fittings'. For this reason, it is recommended to use 'Conduit without Fittings' types for all conduit in the Revit model. The Conduit Run Cleanup command only works for 'Conduit without Fittings' types.
