Identify Kicks




The GTP WireWorks Identify Offsets tool is designed to allow the user to quickly identify offsets in the current view


Workflow

1. Set up and map parameters in the Offset settings per the following:

  • Offset ID -  (Text type of parameter)
  • Rise -  (Length type of parameter)
  • Run -  (Length type of parameter)
  • Length - (Length type of parameter)
  • Rotation Angle - (Text type of parameter)
  • Bend Summary - Lists the bend angle uses (Text type of parameter)


Using the following as the dimensional logic on a kick:

2. Activate the command from the Add-Ins > External Tools dropdown or map a keyboard shortcut to the function.


3. Tag and schedule on body components.



4. The following details are representative of how the dimension values are being populated.


New to v6.0.9 (Kick Roll Directions)

Under the following bending logic, we will now label the Bend Summary mapped field with the roll direction when identifying a kick 90:

The Roll Right Path

Conduits are mathematically analyzed to identify offsets and kicks independently as well as the angle and dimensions of the offset all written to parameters that have been mapped on the offsets tab in the setup
