Electrical Schematic Import Configuration
The Feeder Schedule is the foundation for the electrical schematic.
The Feeder Schedule Configuration button is found in the GTP WireWorks Setup dialog on the Electrical Schematic tab. A configuration must be defined in order to map the columns from an Excel spreadsheet to fields the software recognizes.
Configuration Editor
The Configuration Editor dialog is used to define a reusable feeder schedule import mapping.
Step by Step Process
1. Select a sample feeder schedule spreadsheet.
2. Give the configuration a unique name.
3. Choose how many rows are used as the column headers in the spreadsheet and specify at which row the headers start.
4. Specify the name of the specific worksheet tab to import or choose <Select All> worksheets.
5. Choose the appropriate Excel column to map to each field listed (* indicates required, others are optional).
6. Optionally choose a Revit parameter name to reconcile to each field.
7. Optionally select the checkbox to set the specified parameter values in Revit from the feeder schedule data.
- When utilizing the 'Set in Revit' functionality, it is best practice not to set the Run ID if Equipment Origin and Destination are being set. This prevents the case where it is difficult to clear the values from a part.
- When utilizing the 'Set in Revit' functionality, it is best practice not to map the Carrier Size parameter to a physical diameter like the Diameter(Trade Size) parameter. This mapping is not intended to modify the actual diameter of the parts, but simply as a reference for reconciling the value.
