STRATUS and Autodesk Log In

Prerequisite

Before attempting to authenticate to STRATUS, a user must first be added to the company as a user.

  1. On the home page at: https://www.gtpstratus.com/ , click LOG IN.

  2. The email credentials dialog will display. Enter your Email address and click Continue.

  3. The password credentials dialog will display. Click the Forgot your password? link.

     

  4. The Verification dialog will display. Enter your Email address and click Send verification code. Do not click the Continue button.

     

  5. The Verification code dialog will display. Check the email account you entered above to retrieve the verification code. Do not click the Continue button.

     

    1. You should receive an email similar to the following within minutes.
      Subject = Microsoft on behalf of GTP Services - NPE
      From = msonlineservicesteam@microsoftonline.com

       

    2. Copy your code (Ex. 123704).

  6. Return to the Verification code dialog and a) paste the code into the Verification code from the email into the text box (Ex. 123704) and b) click the Verify code button. Do not click the Continue button.

     

    1. A message will display if your verification has expired. In this case, click the Send new code button.

  7. The Email address verified message will display. Click the Continue button.

     

    1. Change Email - The Change Email button enables users to change their email address if it has changed.

  8. The New Password dialog will display. Enter your new password, confirm the new password, and then click Continue.
    Note: See the Password Requirements article for more information. GTP Services enforces NIST Guidelines for password requirements.

     

  9. If you entered a password used within the last 3 password changes, the following dialog will prevent you from using that password.

  10. If the passwords match you will be logged into STRATUS. See the STRATUS Login section below.

Sign in to Autodesk

To Sign in to Autodesk, see the Sign in to Autodesk article.

Autodesk Account and Authentication

Users who need to publish or view models will need to have an Autodesk account and will need to Sign in to this account within STRATUS. Users who only need to STRATUS to generate reports or view non-model page do not need an Autodesk account.

To create an Autodesk account:

  1. Go to https://www.autodesk.com/ click SIGN IN, and then click the CREATE ACCOUNT option.

  2. Follow the prompts.

To Sign In to Autodesk within STRATUS:

  1. Click your badge > My Account > Autodesk and sign into your account. If you don’t sign in to Autodesk, you can still use STRATUS, but pages that include models will inform you that you need to login to Autodesk.



     

  2. When your Autodesk credentials have been verified, STRATUS will display the Autodesk blue logo next to your badge.

  3. When signed in to your company and to Autodesk account, your badge drop-down will look similar to the following:

Non-BIM 360 user Login

A company administrator can add a non-BIM 360 user to STRATUS by following the Add New User Not In Your BIM 360 section of the Users (Admin) article. After the user is setup as a company user in STRATUS, the user must follow these steps in order to login to STRATUS for the first time.

  1. To login, the user will attempt to login to STRATUS at: https://www.gtpstratus.com/ by clicking the Sign In button.

  2. The user will enter their email in the Login dialog.

  3. Once the email is entered, click the “Don’t remember your password?” link. The Reset your password dialog will display.

  4. Click the SEND EMAIL link and then check your email for a Welcome to Stratus! email.

  5. In the email, click the Confirm my account link and the Email Verification confirmation will display. This step adds your email as a record in STRATUS. The next step is to Reset your Password.

  6. Attempt to login to STRATUS again at: https://www.gtpstratus.com/ by clicking the Sign In button.

  7. To set your password, click the “Don’t remember your password?” link again.

  8. The Reset your password dialog will display. Click the SEND EMAIL button.

  9. When you receive the Password Change Request email, click the click here link.

  10. The Change Password dialog will display. Enter and confirm your STRATUS password.

  11. Click the button and the message “Your password has been reset successfully” will display.

  12. Login to STRATUS at: https://www.gtpstratus.com/ by clicking the Sign In button and enter your username and password. The first time you do this the following instruction will display.

  13. Click OK and the STRATUS home page will display.

  14. Per the instruction, click your Badge and select a company link.

  15. The STRATUS page will refresh, and the user will have access to whatever project and project roles have been granted by the company administrator.

  16. To access a model (Ex. Models > Viewer, Assemblies > Viewer, Packages > Viewer), a user must:

    1. Have been given access to the company’s BIM 360 project and folder where the model is stored

    2. Have an Autodesk account (free) where the Autodesk account email matches their STRATUS email.

  17. If the user has an Autodesk account, login to the account within STRATUS.

    1. Click the Badge > My Account.

    2. Click the Autodesk tab and then click Sign in to Autodesk.

    3. When your Autodesk credentials have been verified, STRATUS will display the Autodesk blue logo next to your badge.

    4. You can change your badge image under your badge > My Account > Profile. Click the Browse button and locate an image, then click Save.

    5. When signed in to your company and to Autodesk account, your badge drop-down will look similar to the following:

Login Issues

Publish Message - You are not signed on to Autodesk

  1. Problem: In the publish dialog you:

    1. do not see a username

    2. see the message "Problem Connecting to Autodesk Forge"

    3. receive the message "You are not signed on to Autodesk" 

  2. Solution

    1. Open a web browser window and login to STRATUS at https://www.gtpstratus.com 

    2. Click your user image badge in the upper right and click My Account

    3. Click the Autodesk tab and make sure you are logged in to your Autodesk account.

    4. Retry the desktop publish

    5. If the issue persists, in the publish dialog, click the "Sign Out" link and then try to sign back in.

Viewer Tab Does Not Display

  1. Problem: I've logged into STRATUS but don't see the Models > Viewer tab, or the Assemblies > Viewer tab, or the Packages > Viewer tab.
      

  2. Viewing a model requires that you are logged in to your Autodesk account.

    1. Open a web browser window and logged in to STRATUS at https://www.gtpstratus.com 

    2. Click your user image badge in the upper right and click My Account

    3. Click the Autodesk tab and make sure you are logged in to your Autodesk account.

    4. Refresh the page and the Viewer tab will display if your project role has Viewer tab permission.

3-Legged Authentication

3-Legged Authentication is offered to companies connecting to client BIM 360 Docs accounts. Contact the STRATUS Service Desk for more information.

Single Sign-On

Single Sign-On to STRATUS which provides the ability to use your company's identity provider for STRATUS authentication. See the SSO for STRATUS article for more information.
