Added to Admin > Users a Default Project Role
The Default Project Role is the way to automatically assign a project role to a user when new projects are added to STRATUS from BIM 360 under Admin > Company > Projects.
To Add a Default Project Role under Admin > Users:
By default, the Default Project Role for the user’s whose Company Role is:
Admin will be Project Admin.
Other non-Admin roles will be set to None.
To assign a different Default Project Role to a user, click the drop-down. A list of Projects Roles will display. See the Project Roles (Admin) article for more information. When assigned, the user will take on this role automatically when new projects are added to STRATUS from BIM 360.
After a change to a user's Default Project Role, the following prompt will display asking if the user should be assigned the new project role to all currently active projects.
Yes - If Yes, the user will be added to existing active projects with the specified role only if they did not already have a role on the project. In this case, the user’s existing role specified on the project will remain.
A message similar to the following will display.
Under Admin > Project, the user will be assigned to the Default Project Role if the project is newly imported from BIM360 or if the user did not have a role defined for the project.
No - If no the user’s Role will not change on any project under Admin > Project, but will be set for newly imported from BIM360 projects.
Added Package Name to Package Delete Prompt
When a Package is deleted from the Packages Dashboard, the delete prompt includes the Package Name.
Improved Packages Dashboard Loading When Column Filters Are Used
Improved the loading of package rows on the Packages Dashboard when non-calculated columns (Ex. Project Number, Project Name, Package Number, Package Name, Model, Required Date, Processor, Status) are used as a filter. When a non-calculated column is used as a filter, packages at the top of the newly filtered dashboard will begin to load. Previously, when a non-calculated column was used as a filter, the dashboard would continue to load the old list of packages.
Removed the Viewer V2 Option (Note: Readded V1/V2 Option in Hotfix)
Note: The following item was included in the 7/7/21 release. However, after an analysis of the Autodesk software change and its impact on STRATUS publishing, it was observed that performance declined. As a result, the V1/V2 option was redeployed on 7/8/21. All models default to V1 which has shown the best performance which is the same or better than before the Autodesk software change.
BIM 360 is now translating AutoCAD and Revit models as SVF2 (optimized viewing format for improved performance which STRATUS referred to as V2 in the STRATUS viewer). STRATUS publishing has been updated to match Autodesk on this, so the viewer and parts database will be in sync following model publish and BIM 360 model translation. As a result of this Autodesk change, the STRATUS Viewer V1/V2 setting is no longer needed and has been removed from the model viewer. All models will appear in their optimal format as determined by BIM 360.
