Publish Updates

The following is a list of updates related to the STRATUS Addin for Revit and AutoCAD used for publishing models to STRATUS. This information will help companies determine if they want to update software or wait until the mandatory quarterly update is made available. Customers who encounter a publish issue that has been fixed by an updated version of the software will be required to install the latest software version.

Added Revit and AutoCAD 2023 Support

Added support for Revit and AutoCAD 2023.

Added Support for Autodesk Desktop Connector

Added support for the Autodesk Desktop Connector tool.

Added Version Status to Addin Toolbar

Added a version status button to Addin Toolbar. If the button is labeled Update Available or Update Required, the button can be clicked to download the latest version.

Fixed Always Publish Revit Assemblies Setting Issue

Under Admin > Company Settings, the setting Always Publish Revit Assemblies was publishing both assemblies when a part was in both a parameter and an instance based assembly. The fix is to override the parameter assembly with the instance base assembly.

Container Updates

Added Container Tracking Log Entry

Added a Container Tracking log entry whenever a package, assembly, part, or container is added to or removed from a container and when a container or container contents are moved to another container. This improvement provides customers with either a permanent container tracking history or a history that is temporary and can be cleared. Note: The contents of a nested container will not be updated.

Container events (add, remove, empty) are logged in the applicable container, package, assembly, and part’s tracking log, so the history of what happened related to a container is transparent. Updates will be visible in the following locations:

  1. Container Tracking

  2. Package Tracking

  3. Assembly Tracking

  4. Part Property

  5. QR Code Scanned page (Assembly example)

Remove Individual Items from Container and Retain Tracking History

In the example below, items were added to the Hanger Box container and then the Hanger Box container was added to the Truck D container. Currently, the Tracking Status is the first Tracking Status listed under Admin > Company > Tracking Statuses (Ex. Design).

To remove individual items from a Container:

  1. For each item to be removed, click the Remove button.

  2. After all individual items have been removed from the container, the Tracking history will remain. New items can be added to the container.

Empty Container and Prompt to Retain Tracking History

To remove all items from a Container, the Empty Container button can be used and the user will be prompted to retain the Tracking history.

  1. Click the Empty Container button. The prompt to remove all items from the container will display.

  2. When OK is clicked, another prompt to start a new Tracking Log for the container will display.

    1. Cancel - Click Cancel to retain the Tracking entries for historical reference.

    2. OK - Click OK to delete the Tracking entries.

Sub-containers

If a container is included within another container, the sub-container can be managed (Empty Container and Remove Item) as if it were the selected container so that the user does not have to switch between containers.

In the example below, items were added to the Hanger Box container and then the Hanger Box container was added to the Truck D container.

  1. Parent Container section

    1. Parent Container - The parent container is the container selected in the Container drop-down.

    2. Empty Container button - Click the Empty Container button associated with Truck D to empty the container of all items.

    3. Remove item button - Click the Remove button to remove individual items from the parent container.

  2. Containers sub-section

    1. Sub-container - A sub-container displays after a container is added to the parent container.

    2. Remove sub-container Hanger Box button - Click the Remove sub-container Hanger Box button to remove the Hanger Box sub-container from the Truck D parent container. The container will be removed from Truck D.

    3. Empty Container button - Click the Empty Container button associated with sub-container to empty the sub-container of all items. Note: All items will also be removed from the sub-container when it is selected as the parent container.

    4. Remove item button - Click the Remove button to remove individual items from the sub-container.

Container and Tracking Status Fields

Added ability to add STRATUS.Container.Location and STRATUS.Container.TrackingStatus to container reports.

Calculated Fields - STRATUS.Field.*

Added the ability to include STRATUS.Field.* to Container Reports. For example:

  1. Configure the STRATUS.Field.*. In this example, Weight has been configured.

  2. Add the field to a report where Item Type = Container. To get a total for all containers, set Aggregate = Sum.

  3. Run the report or click the Clear Cached Calculated Fields button. The weight for each item, if it exists, in the container displays and the total weight for the container.

Added to Assemblies Dashboard a Clear Cached Calculated Field Values Button

Added to Assemblies Dashboard a Clear Cached Calculated Field Values and Reload Data Table button. The same button is also implemented on the Packages Dashboard. When User A loads the Assemblies Dashboard page for the first time, if there are any calculated fields in the report, they are cached. As a result, the next time any user loads the page the cached data will be retrieved faster than the original load. Cached data is purged and cached either manually using the Clear Cached Calculated Field Values and Reload Data Table button or automatically.

Assemblies Dashboard calculated cached values are automatically purged when:

  • any type of assembly modification is made such as editing parts in the assembly

  • using a field that is a total value from all parts in the assembly

  • a Field references a Part property or another Field value, and they are modified

Added to Activities Delete Item Numbers Entry

Added to Admin > Company > Activities an activity row when Item Numbers are deleted.

Added Speed Rate to Saddles

Under Admin > Company > Pipe Cuts, added the Speed column to Saddles.

Updated Date Window Filters

Updated the Date Window filter to work independently on the Packages Dashboard, Schedule, and Status Board. On each page the filter can be on/off and include different settings.

Added Fabrication Support for (Field Orderz)

Field Orderz customers have requested that they can view and override Fabrication Items including:

  • Splitters

  • Stiffeners

  • Airturns

  • Insulation

  • Gauge

Added the Shape property to connector patterns so that a list of the correctly shaped connectors can be selected.

Updated Column Sort Order Feature

Updated the column Sort Order feature on the Packages, Assemblies, Containers, and Packages > Items dashboards. Currently, clicking the sort column button on any column results in either sorting the column in ascending or descending order. The new feature will do the following:

  1. Click 1 - sorts the column in ascending order.

  2. Click 2 - sorts the column in descending order.

  3. Click 3 - sets the table back to the default sort order according to either the pre-defined table sort order (if one exists) or the sort order specified by the report’s sort index settings.

Improved Models Viewer Performance Filters and Display Mode

Improved the Models > Viewer performance when using Filters and Display Mode.

Improved Admin Fields Performance

Improved the performance of Admin > Company > Fields so that all data columns, except for References, load immediately and can be edited. In addition, a new field can be created while the References column is still loading. While the data table is loading, the red bar at the bottom of the page displays which is usually a visual signal to not edit the content, however, in this case, edits can be made to the data table while the References column is loading.

Fixed a STRATUS Sheet Orientation Report Issue

Fixed an issue where after a STRATUS Sheet viewport is overridden and saved, a report that is run subsequently from the Packages > Attachments did not use the new orientation. In this example:

  1. The original orientation

  2. The overridden and saved orientation.

  3. The orientation when the report is run from Packages > Attachments > Report.

Fixed Field References Issue

Fixed an issue under Admin > Company> Fields where links to References only displayed Reports, when Filters, Fields, Groupings, Templates, and Naming and Numbering should also be included.

Fixed Packages > Items Custom Report (Merge Like Values) Issue

Fixed a Packages > Items custom report where Merge Like Values was configured under Admin > Company > Reports. Previously, the Package Name column was incorrectly repeated. The fix now displays only unique entries, and, when edited the changes are correctly applied to each assembly.

  1. In this example, the selected custom Assembly Report is configured to use Merge Like Values on STRATUS.Assembly.ModelName.

  2. After deleting a package the assembly is removed from the package and a message similar to the following will display:

  3. After clicking Modify, the assembly will no longer be associated with the deleted package.

Fixed a Scan to Container Issue

Fixed a Containers issue where adding items to a container by scanning individual QR Codes did not include all of the scanned items. In this example, 9 items were scanned one after the other.

Fixed a CSV/Excel Issue

After applying filters to a data table and saving a CSV or Excel file, the saved file now displays the filtered data.

  1. In this example, the dashboard was filtered to 1 record.

  2. The filtered results display in the csv file.

Fixed Issues Related to the “Apply Item Numbers During Model Import” Setting

Fixed issues related to the Apply Item Numbers During Model Import setting located under Admin > Company > Settings > AutoCAD & Revit. This setting now works as follows:

  1. Unchecked - When unchecked a user should not be able to add or delete item numbers. A message similar to the following will display:

Note: An item number tag can be repositioned.

    1. Attempt to delete an individual item number tag, Delete All Item Numbers, or Renumber All Item Numbers.

    2. Attempt to use Annotation Tags to number a part.

  2. Checked - When checked a user can add or delete item numbers using any of the methods above.

Fixed a Scroll Issue on Containers Dashboard

Fixed a scrolling issue on the Containers > Dashboard where there were 1400+ containers and the page locked up when scrolling.

Fixed Sort in Admin Reports

Fixed column sort order under Admin > Company > Reports so that checkbox columns sort by checked and not checked.

Fixed Activities Sort and Filter

Fixed issues with Admin > Company > Activities including column sorting and filtering to projects that have a project Name Override under Admin > Company > Projects.
