Publish Updates

The following is a list of updates related to the STRATUS Addin for Revit and AutoCAD used for publishing models to STRATUS. This information will help companies determine if they want to update software or wait until the mandatory quarterly update is made available. Customers who encounter a publish issue that has been fixed by an updated version of the software will be required to install the latest software version.

Updated Import Performance

Updated the import logic and performance for both assembly instances and parameter-based assemblies.

Added Dimension Enhancements

Added Colors for X,Y,Z Dimensions

Like Autodesk, STRATUS now utilizes standard colors for dimensions that are aligned with each of the primary coordinate axes.

• Y = Green

• Z = Purple

• Off Axis = Blue - The linear dimension is not aligned with any primary axis.

Performance Improvements

The performance has improved while dimensioning.

Added Tracking Status Column - Applies to Containers

Added to Admin > Company > Tracking Statuses the Applies to Containers column. This column works the same as the other Applies to column (Package, Assembly, and Part). In this case, when unchecked the tracking status will not be available in the tracking status drop-down.

To use the Applies to Containers setting:

1. By default, Applies to Container is checked for all Tracking Statuses. Uncheck tracking statuses that should not be applied to a container.

2. Once configured, when updating tracking status, only those tracking statuses that are checked under Applies to Container should display.

Added Off-grid Line Dimension Annotation on Labels

Added off-grid line dimensions annotation on labels by adding the properties below which will display on the Properties panel and reports (see examples below). GridOffsetX and GridOffsetY variables are also available for label templates in the format used by workstation cut list items (they may be converted to lowercase gridOffsetX and gridOffsetY, similar to how the others are handled). If the model does not include grid lines, these values will be empty. When the selected part only has one connector, it will only have a value for A.

Added Part Note to MAJ File

When a note is added to parts that are generated in a MAJ file, the note will be included on the parts in the MAJ file.

Added Properties to Generic Template

Added to Admin > Company > Templates the ability to add STRATUS.Field.* and STRATUS.Project.* properties to any Generic Template Type.

Improved Handling of Closed Loops for the Select Connected Tool

Improved the handling of closed loops for the Select Connected tool. In the example below, the top image shows the 3 selected parts and the bottom image shows the results. Previously, the results would have incorrectly included the vertical tee and parts.

Updated ConnectedTo and AssembledTo to Use BOM Line Item Mapping Description

Updated the following ConnectedTo and AssembledTo properties to use the Company BOM Line Item Mapping Description configured under Admin > Company > Part Templates > BOM Mappings. Note: Any custom Field Expressions that rely on the values of these properties may need to be updated.

For example:

1. The STRATUS.Part.C1ConnectedTo and STRATUS.Part.C2ConnectedTo both currently display the Description of the C1 and C2 Connected parts (Ex. 2 (4)).

2. For the C1 and C2 Connected parts, change the Description to Override1 under Admin > Company > Part Templates > Company BOM Line Item Mappings.

3. After refreshing the viewer, Override1 displays as the value for STRATUS.Part.C1ConnectedTo and STRATUS.Part.C21ConnectedTo.

Updated Prompt for Tracking Status Changes When More than 100 Parts Are Selected

Updated the prompt for Tracking Status changes in the Models > viewer when more than 100 parts are selected.

Updated the Help Page

Updated the Help page by prioritizing the most commonly accessed information.

Fixed an Issue Overwriting DT in Report Column Header

Fixed an issue when the Report Field included DT in the Header, but the dashboard report converted DT to “Date”. DT will now display as DT.

Fixed an Issue Sorting Checkboxes in Dashboard Reports

Fixed an issue sorting checkboxes (Report Field Format = Boolean) in dashboard reports.

Fixed Issue Manually Entering Estimated Hours

In the previous release, the ability to manually enter Estimated Hours was replaced with Field-driven automation. In this release, both manually entering hours and driving estimated hours using Fields can be used.

Fixed a Model Publish Date/Time Issue

Fixed an issue where the Model Publish date/time was different between the Models > Dashboard and the Models > Viewer.

Fixed an Issue with the Tracking Status Color Column

Fixed an issue where the Tracking Status Color column did not immediately precede the Tracking Status column in a custom report.

Fixed Package Tracking Status Issue

Fixed a Package Tracking Status issue where two packages using different package categories had the exact same parts but when the Tracking STatus of one package was updated the other package did not show the update on the Packages Dashboard. In the example below

1. The packages below are in separate package categories and include the exact same parts.

2. After updating the Tracking Status for the first Package, the Tracking Status for the second package is also changed.

Fixed a Spool Checker Issue with 1 Part in Spool

Fixed an issue where Spool Checker did not display when only 1 part was included in the Spool/Assembly.

Fixed an Issue where Package QR Code Scanned did not display Part Attachments

Fixed an issue where the Package QR Code Scanned page, reached by scanning a package QR Code, did not display Part attachments.
